Alexus Coleman - GOLF LEARNING CENTER

OVERVIEW

The Golf Learning Center is a large-scale recreational facility developed for the Peoria Park District, designed to create a more modern, social, and accessible golf experience for players of all ages and skill levels. The space blends traditional practice with technology-driven gameplay, dining, and group experiences—positioning itself as both a learning environment and a community destination.

I contributed to the design of key visual touchpoints, including menus, signage, gift cards, and social media assets, with a focus on creating a cohesive and engaging brand presence across both print and digital formats. Working within a tight deadline, I translated the Center’s energetic, family-friendly atmosphere into visuals that felt approachable, playful, and easy to navigate—blending a sense of southern charm with a clean,
modern finish.

The visual direction leaned into layered greens, tactile patterns, and organic, course-inspired shapes to build depth and personality across the system. Elements like gingham textures and terrain-like forms added a subtle nod to tradition while keeping the overall experience fresh and contemporary. Signage systems were designed for quick readability within the physical space, while printed materials like menus and gift cards balanced personality with usability. Social assets focused on promoting GLC’s opening, extending the brand digitally, and generating excitement across platforms while maintaining consistency with the physical environment.

This project highlights my ability to design across multiple media under time constraints while maintaining brand consistency and user-focused clarity. It reflects how thoughtful, well-executed design can elevate a recreational space into a memorable and cohesive experience—one that invites both first-time players and seasoned golfers to engage, learn, and enjoy.
